- Former Sunderland player has established himself at Dortmund
- Reds previously missed out on his brother Jude
Manchester United will be preparing to go head-to-head with the continent’s elite clubs next season.
After qualifying for the UEFA Champions League, the Red Devils will be playing in the new Swiss format for the first time. As a Pot 2 entrant, there is almost certainty that the club will be facing off against a European giant.
Before that, Michael Carrick‘s side could also be fighting Europe’s elite clubs in the transfer market this summer. With the club desperate to find the perfect partner for Kobbie Mainoo, dipping into the Bundesliga for the next top talent could be the next stop for INEOS.

Manchester United Ignite Interest in Bellingham
According to an exclusive report from TEAMtalk, Manchester United have placed Borussia Dortmund sensation Jobe Bellingham on their summer wishlist. The 20-year-old is the brother of Real Madrid star Jude.
Before his £30m move from Sunderland to Borussia Dortmund last summer, Jobe was “under serious consideration” for a move to Old Trafford. Instead, he opted for the same pathway as his brother Jude, who also became a household name in Germany.
The 20-year-old has started 18 of the Bundesliga side’s last 20 matches under Niko Kovac this season. Despite a slow start overseas, improved performances in Germany have “not gone unnoticed”, as TEAMtalk write. United view the England U21 international as someone they have regularly scouted this season at Signal Iduna Park.
“Regular visits” have been made to “monitor” him, alongside teammates Karim Adeyemi, Daniel Svensson and Nico Schlotterbeck. The report further writes that INEOS “are actively working on multiple targets as part of their rebuild plans”, which has included contingency planning.

Reds will want to Avoid Same Mistake as with Jude
With Casemiro’s departure time nearing, the priority remains the midfield for the summer. United are expected to sign at least two central players this summer that will “significantly” boost the middle of the park.
The Reds already missed out on Jude Bellingham a few seasons ago under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The brothers have proven that each move they make, with the support of their family, has been calculated.
United ‘overachieving’ this campaign under Carrick makes the club look ultimately more appealing than last summer. Facing competition from the likes of Real Madrid and Liverpool, the race for his signature is set to be a real talking point this summer. If not this year, then most certainly the next as he finds his feet in Dortmund.
