Matheus Cunha will be in action for Brazil at this summer’s World Cup after earning a call-up to Carlo Ancelotti’s squad. The Manchester United forward has enjoyed a superb debut season at Old Trafford and could play a crucial role for the record holders.
The 26-year-old has already earned 21 caps for Selecao, and he’ll be hoping to make that at least three in the USA, Canada and Mexico. He has thrived on the left of a three-man attack for United this season.
Cunha has been a regular under Ancelotti heading into the tournament. He’s played various roles, including as a second striker and in attacking midfield.

Matheus Cunha’s World Cup
Cunha could get his first taste of World Cup action when Brazil start their campaign in Group C. Ancelotti’s men face Morocco on June 13th before taking on Haiti on June 20th.
The South Americans then meet Scotland on June 24th, a game United fans will be eager to watch. That could see Cunha come up against the club’s former midfielder Scott McTominay.
