- Senne Lammens will represent Belgium at the World Cup
- Man Utd goalkeeper called up by European nation
- How Red Devils star has fared
Senne Lammens has been named in Belgium’s squad for the FIFA World Cup this summer. The Manchester United goalkeeper will head to the tournament off the back of a sensational debut season at United.
The 23-year-old has earned two caps to date for the Belgian national team. His excellent displays for United earned him a debut in a 7-0 win over Liechtenstein in his country’s final World Cup qualifier in November.
Lammens is likely to play backup to Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois. Still, he’ll earn valuable experience just being part of a squad for a major international tournament for the first time.

Lammens’ Belgium start their World Cup campaign in Group G and first face Egypt on June 15th. Rudi Garcia’s men then collide with Iran on June 21st before facing New Zealand in their final group game.
The Red Devils will be hoping for a better performance than the one which saw them exit the tournament in the group stages back in 2022. The United goalkeeper wasn’t part of the squad that finished third in their group.
